Alrighty, it’s finally here!!!! I’ve been waiting months to introduce this to you guys. I can’t believe it’s finally that day. I’ve been redesigning my website and how everything works, and it’s all finished and ready for you. I wanted to make the whole photography experience easier for everyone, in terms of viewing slideshows, getting info, and announcing new stuff. And I think this new design does that a lot better… Starting today, this blog will be inactive (it will still be here, but I won’t be posting here anymore), you’ll have to go to my new journal to get all the latest news. And when you go to my website address, you’ll notice that it’s totally changed. Just a few things that you’ll notice are 1) More streamlined gallery section, 2) A journal that is more me, 3) Larger images on the journal, 4) Easier navigation panel on the top section of the journal, 5) New “Events” area where you can check out the latest Portrait Event and Camp Shooty dates. On top of that, I’ve been working hard on posting a few new sessions, so you’ll get an added bonus — there are already more than 10 posts for you to read, no charge, mom. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do.

Wedding: Jennifer+Rome

I never grow tired of shooting all the different parts of a wedding day… no matter how many times I shoot at the same location, the people that make up the day just make it so interesting for me. Hanging around Rome and the guys, it was like I was back in junior high. I couldn’t blink or else I’d miss a good, old fashioned pantsing, or just a great, big bear hug. And to this day, I still freak out when ladies put on eye liner. That’s just a testament to the skill of women (and a few emo guys). Also got to be in the middle of one of the best cake smashings in my life… and they looked so happy afterwards too, the messier the better. *** btw, in case you were living in a cave somewhere in Westwood, Fresno State won the game 36-31, GO DOGS! ***

Wedding: Vic+Ben

Scored me some free internet here at the hotel where I’m staying at for Vic & Ben’s Bay Area wedding… woo hoo, now I can post some photos from the wedding last night… My feet are hurting, my fingers are all tow-up, and my stomach is all sore from laughing all day, this couple made me smile at every turning moment, my cheeks are sore. I love the moment where they first saw each other that day, it seemed like they were looking at each other’s eyes for the very first time… somebody slap me and wake me up… it was a moment to remember for sure, here are a few more moments to share…

Wedding: Lydia+Chris

Lydia and Chris, if you’re reading this, I wanted to post a preview of your wedding extra fast because 1) I wanted you to see this before you headed out for your honeymoon and 2) tomorrow is my birthday, and I don’t want to work LOL. Seriously, thank you for having me at your wedding and thanks for making me feel at home by laughing at my silly Nacho Libre references. BTW, shooting with you guys was waaaaay better than “dead man duty.” I’d been waiting for your wedding for a while because you told me ahead of time that there was going to be barbeque and mariachi… it was all worth the wait

Wedding: Peggy+Terence

Love is definitely in the air… Peggy and Terence jump started my wedding photography world that is about to embark on a historic 11-week, 13-wedding conquest. So how did it go? It was a double-duty dose of wedding goodness. You’ll see these Chinese symbols throughout the photos, it’s the symbol that Terence chose to use for their celebration. It means “double-happiness.” And he couldn’t have picked a better sign. First off, I’d have to lay down some background so you can make sense of what the guys were doing in the beginning. All the guys basically had to visit the girls to pick them up. But in order for them to be allowed inside the house, the girls had to run them through an obstacle course that included 1) Unwrapping a Starburst using nothing but their mouths, 2) Whistling with a mouth full of saltine crackers, 3) Doing the Macarena, and 4) Singing along to “Like a Virgin.” There were double the ceremonies (Chinese & American), double the cake, and I even got myself a double serving of them delicious shrimp dumplings… mmmmmm.

Engaged: Emily+Michael

Whassup with all these people getting engaged lately, man? There must be some kind of love potion in our Fresno water LOL… anyways, check out how these two stare at each other, makes me wanna slap myself silly or pinch myself on the elbow or something like that… it was definitely an awesome time with these two… btw, Michael is a really good photographer, he can dance, he can probably cook real well, and he’s probably got a couple of olympic gold medals in his sock drawer — yeah, he’s that talented… anyways, thanks for waiting patiently for me to get this set finished, Michael… I hope it’s worth all the wait, you two love birds, you.

Engaged: Suneel+Sky

Say what? Didn’t they just get married? Yep… take it as a behind the scenes, director’s cut, extended DVD version kind of deal… It’s a more intimate look at the beautifulness that is Suneel and Sky… we just didn’t get a chance to shoot this earlier because of scheduling conflicts, but thank God we got together before the wedding so we can take advantage of the beautiful cityscape around the Disney Concert Hall. Don’t they look so happy together — makes me want to squeeze my own cheeks. Peace!
