[weddings]

I don't know about you, but with all this 100-plus degree weather we've been having in Fres-yes, I'm so glad that Kristi and Brandon booked me for their Carmel wedding last weekend. We had a good ol' time at the Clint Eastwood-owned Mission Ranch in Carmel. The bride and groom even got to meet The Man With No Name himself outside the reception while taking a break from all the dancing, but I am ashamed to admit that I was busy too busy on the dance floor taking photos of fellow YMCA-ers. I know, I know, I'm still kicking myself for that. By the time I noticed all the commotion ouside the banquet room, old Joe had gotten into his car and rode into the sunset (sigh). So, I'm sorry I won't have a photo of that in the slideshow, but do you guys want to see one of me kicking myself? No, didn't think so, on with the slideshow...

June has been my most busy wedding month by far. My trigger finger might be a little tired, but I never get tired of being a part of such a wonderful time in people's lives. This one was really special, Nathan's folks came all the way from Pakistan to see their oldest son get married. I always get asked what my favorite venue is for weddings, and although there are a ton of awesome locations here in the Fresno area, you can't beat a good ol' backyard wedding in my opinion, there's just this special atmosphere that you can't get anywhere else. I got doubly excited when I saw that Morgan got a vintage, flapper-esque, netted hat, complete with feather details. Enjoy the photos!

Lauren and Ryan's love story is one of those things that you only hear about in a fairy tale. You'll notice there are some shots that we took at Malloch Elementary School. I'm not lying, but that is where they first met... yeah, in elementary school, and now some 20-odd years later, here they are vowing to each other to be together until the end. Makes you wanna cry already, huh, and we haven't even started the slideshow :) Well, go check it out, already!!!

I traveled up north to Sacramento last weekend to be a part of Ashley & Justin's wedding at the Firehouse Restaurant.  I'm gonna try something different on this post and post their wedding preview up on top there and below are some hand-selected images that I wanted to share along with a comment or two, as oppposed to the normal slideshow that I do. Long-story-short, though, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day for this wedding. Enjoy, everyone!

I definitely had a lot of first's with Erin & Josh's wedding. First off, their Denver engagement session was my first ever e-session outside of Calfornia, then this was my first time shooting a wedding at the newly renovated lakeside area at Wolf Lakes (they added some cool new structures). Then, there's this video preview of the wedding on top there. That's a first too, and that was a lot of fun putting it all together. And finally, the first time ever I had a roast pig at the reception, you know how it is, right? It ain't a real party until you bring out the roast pig. By the way, the sky at the beginning of the video preview, it's real, like really real, like for reals. Really!
