denver colorado engagement

I got to do something different a few weeks back. I hooked up with Erin and Josh in Denver, CO for their engagement session. They'll be getting married next week in beautiful, Wolf Lakes, but they live at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, so I hooked up with my new homies in the mile high city. I missed my family a lot, but these love birds softened the blow with some home-made udon noodles hand-prepared by a mustachioed Japanese udon master at Oshima Ramen, m-mmm good. All the altitude sickness was well worth that soupy goodness :) I must have taken a few hundred photos, but here are just a few to share with y'all.

Here are a few frames from our little break at an indoor sky diving joint. I had to kung fu grip my camera just so it didn't get sucked into the anti-gravity worm hole vortex chamber, I believe that's what they called it.

I love me some barbeque. I also happen to love backyard weddings. And from time to time, I endulge myself in a little country music. Well, all three came together with Courtney and Tyler's family and melded into the bestest backyard-countryfied-Sunday-wedding-barbeque-bonanza Dinuba has ever seen. Courtney's uncle Marty hooked it up and cooked up some good grub. I could smell it all through the ceremony. Made me want to lick my fingers, good thing I didn't, cuz that would have made my shutter button all slobbery.

It's going to be weird for Marissa's students to not call her Miss Keck anymore. But, Mrs. O'Donnell has a nice ring to it, I think. I also thought it was fitting for Marissa to have her 2nd grade teacher there to help her mom tie up her wedding gown, there was so much family history tied into the whole event. Marissa & Patrick, thanks for having me there to witness all the love and history. See you both real soon!

fresno family portraits

Hey y'all... the wedding season has officially shifted into high gear for me, and that means I will not be doing any Portrait Events until the late Summer/Fall-ish season, when weddings slow down for few weeks. I thought this would be a good time to share some of the new people I met during the last couple of Portrait Events. If you missed out on the last one, don't worry, I'll definitely be having more of them. If you want to get advance notice on the next planned event, just send me a note here, and you'll be in the know. Here are just a few of my favorites from the recent Spring Portrait Events.

I think we reached a record with Kaylee's shoot for the most times we "almost" got kicked out of locations. Good thing I turned up my charm to 11 and we got to snap a few more frames before trespassing, I mean, moving on to the next piece of beautiful, picturesque downtown Fresno property.
