When I’m out shooting with a couple or a family, usually midway through the session, when my are subjects more relaxed in front of the camera, I usually say something like this: “All I need is one good shot, right?” Now, I say this half-jokingly, but there is some truth to it. I’m there to get a good variety of images for them, for sure, but it really is a goal for me to get that one good shot — the shot that says a lot about who they are. It’s usually not over-posed, and it’s usually an unexpected moment. Once I see it, I know it’s the “one”, and I think the last image in this series with Kayli and Garrison (and their doggies) is the ONE.
